Language/neurotransmission node

The Language node at Åbo-Turku, Finland, drives parallel lines of research related to executive functions. With the facilities provided by the Turku PET Centre, it works on the development of feasible methods for the measurement of dopaminergic activity during cognitive task performances. Another line of research deals with executive functions and bilingualism. In collaboration with the Memory and Attention nodes, further studies on the malleability of executive task performances to training are planned. The node leader is Matti Laine while professor Juha Rinne at the Turku PET Centre has the main responsibility for the dopamine-related projects.
